NoPAC is a study looking at the use of topical tranexamic acid to reduce the need for nasal packing in epistaxis. We have been recruiting to this study since May 2017 and are delighted to be awarded the top spot on the as the number one recruiting site this month! This study is recruiting patients from 19 emergency departments across the UK and will continue until September 2018. Patients are given the option to take part of the trial and receive TXA or placebo in addition to standard treatments. Nasal packing is uncomfortable and can be distressing and anything we can do to avoid it would be beneficial. See this video link for more information https://vimeo.com/249530589
