Senior Stroke Research Nurse
Pat started working part time with the Stroke Research Team in 2015 following retirement from her post as Senior Charge Nurse in the Stroke Unit ,WGH.
She initially trained as an Enrolled Nurse in the RIE before going on to complete a Bsc in Nursing and Health studies.
This post allowed her the opportunity to work with a dynamic,dedicated, team of individuals with a passion for the speciality, who are highly motivated towards developing the stroke service.
She took part in promoting research in the clinical arena and was actively involved in recruitment into CLOTS 1 and 2,ENOS and IST 3
Pats main focus now is on the field of research and is enjoying the challenges of working as part of the Stroke Research Team in the R. I.E.
DASH is a randomised clinical trial investigating a treatment to reverse the effects of blood-thinning medications.
