Lewis has worked in healthcare for over 20 years, gaining experience across a variety of clinical settings and roles. After qualifying as a Registered Nurse from the University of Bolton in 2022, he worked in Critical Care, completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Critical Care, before taking on bank nursing roles across a range of acute specialties, including Emergency Care. These experiences not only deepened his commitment to caring for acutely unwell patients but also cemented his belief that high-quality, evidence-based practice is essential to delivering the best possible patient outcomes.
Curious by nature, Lewis developed an interest in research during his postgraduate studies after seeing the difference well-designed clinical studies can make patient care and clinical decision-making. He enjoys understanding how healthcare systems work and exploring ways research can improve both patient outcomes and the delivery of care. Delighted to join the EMERGE team as a Senior Research Nurse, he values collaboration, enjoys supporting colleagues, and is known for being approachable with a good sense of humour.
