cobas® lumira Collection of Venous and Capillary Blood Samples for the Research, Optimization and Calibration of New Diagnostic Devices

The goal is to research and develop new state of the art diagnostic biomarkers on the cobas® lumira platform that are comparable to the approved gold standard reference methods and that will radically enhance clinicians’ and patients’ ability to monitor health conditions and improve outcomes by delivering the results near the patient at the point of care. For this purpose, LumiraDx UK is developing a range of tests for biomarkers that include but are not limited to the following participant disease/study cohorts: embolism, infection or inflammation, cardiovascular, renal disease, oral anticoagulation, and diabetes. Diagnostic devices are used to aid in the diagnosis of medical diseases and conditions and provide the basis for many evidence based medical decisions. Accuracy and a high standard of control are critical in the development of these devices.
