SpinChip
This is a multi-centre, observational study aiming to evaluate the clinical diagnostic performance and safety of the SpinChip high-sensitivity cardiac tropnonin test to aid in the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction. The study is led by investigators in Switzerland and Norway and is running in approximately 10 sites across Europe, Switzerland and the UK.
The main objective is to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of the SpinChip near patient test at the time of presentation against the current standard of care which is sending a laboratory sample.
The study aims to recruit 1200 participants across all sites looking at adults of 18 years of age or over who present to the Emergency Department with signs that could be attributed to acute coronary syndrome.
