Lyle is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Major Trauma at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he is the ED lead for major trauma. He is also a Consultant in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine with the Great North Air Ambulance. Lyle has previously completed secondments with the Essex and Herts, East Anglia, and Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance charities.
In addition to his clinical roles, Lyle has provided consultancy and telemedical services for a number of multinational organisations, leveraging his expertise to improve emergency medical protocols and responses globally. He has a keen interest in motorsport medicine and serves as a medical advisor to the St Abbs Independent Lifeboat Charity.
Outside of his professional commitments, Lyle enjoys keeping fit and is a dedicated family man, balancing his career with being a husband and father to his two children.
