Jennifer moved to Edinburgh 25 years ago and started her career within NHS Lothian as a Dental Nurse working at the Edinburgh Dental Hospital within the Emergency Department and Oral surgery. She wished to pursue a career in Nursing and completed her Bachelor of Nursing in 2005 at Napier University.
After qualifying, Jennifer started working as a Registered Nurse in the Accident and Emergency Department at St John’s Hospital. Then after having her family she had a change of career and moved to Acute Oncology in the Chemotherapy Ward at WGH and completed training in delivering Systemic anti -cancer therapies. It was during this time she developed an interest in Research. Jennifer says she was fortunate to gain a Senior Research Nurse position and is responsible for the co-ordination of early phase Breast trials.
Jennifer always had a keen interest in Emergency Medicine and feels this position is a great opportunity for her to consolidate knowledge gained so far as well as further enhance her skills within the EMERGE TEAM.
