Victoria qualified from Edinburgh Napier University in January 2015 with a BN Degree in Adult Nursing. Her first newly qualified post was in General Surgery, before she moved down to Newcastle upon Tyne to take up a post at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. After 3 years in Critical Care, equipped with the skills and knowledge Victoria had gained there, she was ready for a change. From there Victoria then started working in the Emergency Department in September 2019 and immediately loved the unexpected nature of what comes through the door, caring for acutely ill patients and thriving in the sometimes chaotic work environment.
Now having recently moved back to Edinburgh, Victoria says she is excited to embark in her new role as part of the EMERGE team, whilst still working within Emergency Medicine; where her interest lies. While not having previous research experience, Victoria is more than ready for the challenge and has said she has been made to feel very welcome within the EMERGE team.
Victoria’s spare time will is usually spent ‘DIYing’ her way through home improvements in her new flat and continuing open-water Diving in Scotland.
